Prominent real estate company LVXP has submit plans to build a new destination casino in the heart of Las Vegas, with the casino development partnered alongside a sports arena.
The planned project would be located on a currently vacant 27-acre plot of land in South Las Vegas Boulevard. Should the project go ahead, the destination casino would be built directly opposite the new expanded Las Vegas Convention Center.
As well as a destination casino and resort, the LVXP site would have a ‘multi purpose entertainment facility’ which will be home to a retail plaza, several luxury hotels and a state of the art convention space.
“We are honoured to be stewards of this significant milestone in the city’s legacy. Our commitment is to create a destination that captures the essence of Las Vegas and provides lasting benefits for the community.” said CEO of LVXP, James R Frasure Jnr.
“For me, this endeavour is more than a project – it’s a promise to uphold the spirit of innovation and enthusiasm that defines our local culture.”
LVXP Development Could Host New NBA Franchise
The LVXP development was previously part of a plan to bring an NBA team to Las Vegas, but the idea from Jackie Robinson failed last year.
A new entertainment and sports arena would have over 18,500 seats and the multi-billion-dollar venue could certainly house a new basketball side, the first NBA team in Nevada.
Although there are no current timeframes or project completion dates, construction to LVXP’s billion-dollar project is sure to get underway as soon as planning is approved by state officials.
