The Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Florida is set to open a new and exclusive smoking section this summer, reports confirm.
Smoking will be permitted in the northwest corner of the Miami casino. Additionally, there will be a state-of-the-art air filtration system to preserve air quality in non-smoking areas.
In the new section preserved for smoking, there are 117 video slots, a bar area with four 75-inch TVs and eight bar-top slot machines.
Meanwhile, casino workers based in Atlantic City are pursuing a smoking ban in all nine land-based venues. A judge is expected to make a ruling “as quickly as possible”.
At the time of publication, there has been little or no resistance to the Miccosukee’s decision to open the new smoking section.

In fact, the casino believes it will perfectly complement their esteemed patrons. Naturally, they can continue playing their favorite slot games without having to vacate the premises to smoke.
Not only will the smoking section feature the brand new air filtration system, the 20-foot high ceilings will help keep the smoke to a minimum.
General manager of the Miccosukee Brad Rhines, shared his delight about the new smoking section. He said the resort has taken onboard customer feedback to help meet demands.
Subsequently, the smoking section will open this summer and he hopes this will help fuse the overall gaming experience. He said: “At Miccosukee Casino & Resort, we value our customers’ feedback. We always strive to meet their needs.
“Many of our guests have requested a new, indoor, dedicated smoking section I am proud that we will be unveiling this unique attraction to them very soon. It’s a fusion of gaming, sophisticated design, and an upscale bar. All created to cater to our distinguished guests,” he concluded.
