Patrick Miller has been named as the president and CEO of the Rio Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. Miller will replace Trevor Scherrer who stepped down due to health concerns.

Patrick Miller is set to spearhead the $340Million renovation of the popular Sin City resort. Miller, as president, will play a vital role in overseeing the transformation.
Previously, Miller has held prominent positions at MGM Resorts International. He served as senior vice president and oversaw the hospitality divisions at MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur, Signature, and the Shadow Creek golf course.
Furthermore, Miller also served as the president and COO at Park MGM and NoMad Hotel. This is arguably his most important role where he spearheaded the $500m renovation of Monte Carlo to Park MGM.

The Rio Hotel and Casino is located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise. Dreamscape have been the owners of the Rio since 2019, when they paid Caesars $516m.
During the renovations, the Rio will stay open to the public. The multi-year project will update the entire resort and will keep the carnival theme.
Work began on the Ipanema Tower in 2023, which is projected to last 18 months overall. Then, the Masquerade Tower and restaurants will receive upgrades.
New state-of-the-art LED light displays will replace the original red and blue neon lighting. In terms of the casino itself, approximately 400 new slot machines will be added.
