The latest Las Vegas casino to announce an expansion project is Eureka casino, which has confirmed plans to renovate and expand its current site in Mesquite.
Eureka resort-casino is located near Interstate 15 and announced this week that work had finally begun on the site with $40Million already spent on renovation costs.
The 212-room hotel currently has a 40,285 square-feet casino floor, but with expansion beginning this week on the exterior of the property Eureka is set to grow to a significantly bigger venue.
Executive chairman of Eureka casino-resort, Greg Lee, spoke in an interview on Wednesday where he said: “It is really time for us to reimagine what we would build today if we were starting from scratch, and what we want our facility to be 30 years hence.”
When Will The Renovations Be Complete?
Although Lee is largely involved with the project, it is CEO Andre Carrier who is overseeing most of the operations including the work that has already begun at the property’s new-look steakhouse, Gregory’s Mesquite Grill.
Carrier believes that Eureka casino renovations will be fully completed by the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027, with a three year building period at the most.
Eureka’s CEO said this week that he aims to make the casino more ‘homely’: “We want to show the kind of imagination where people leave our property and say, ‘I would like my home to feel more like this.’”
The second phase of Eureka’s expansion has ben named ‘Eureka 3.0’ and is set to add over 35 acres on to the back of the property during the expansion. A start date for the second phase is still yet to be decided, with Eureka’s full focus on the current work.
