ESPN launched its first in-person sportsbook within Detroit this week, as Hollywood Casino in Greektown became the first Penn Entertainment property to open an ESPN Bet location.

The first ESPN Bet in Detroit is accompanied by a restaurant in Hollywood Casino, with both officially launching this week ahead of the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

“This is an exciting week to debut Penn’s first physical ESPN Bet sportsbook as the city of Detroit hosts the NFL Draft and its festivities. Bringing ESPN Bet to Hollywood Greektown combines Penn’s premier sports media and sports betting offerings to create an amazing atmosphere for fans to watch and bet on sports,” said John Drake, the GM of Hollywood Casino at Greektown.

“To celebrate the opening, we’re thrilled to host ESPN talent and programming at our property throughout the week.”

The 2024 NFL draft gets underway on Thursday night, with the three day event hosted in downtown Detroit for the first time at a specially built draft theatre.

Hollywood Casino at Greektown will offer plenty of entertainment to football fans this week, with various NFL programming, podcasts and radio broadcasts all played on site as the action unfolds.
