The Chickashaw Nation is one of the largest gaming tribes in the US and they are set to open their 17th casino in Oklahoma later this week, with Lakecrest Casino soft opening on the 24th of April.

Lakecrest Casino & Hotel is the latest property to open under Chickasaw Nation ownership, further expanding the tribe’s portfolio of casinos in Oklahoma.

The new casino will open on the 24th of April but only to selected invitees in a soft opening – with the casino’s grand opening not coming until a later date that is yet to be announced.

Lakecrest will have a 70,000-square-foot casino floor which will primarily be used for slot machines. There are just eight table games available in the new Oklahoma casino which will offer a variety of blackjack and poker games.

Sports betting is still restricted in Oklahoma, so Chickashaw Nation’s new site will have no sportsbook located on the property until lawmakers make a change.

Lakecrest Casino & Hotel Facilities

Lakecrest will not only be home to a brand new casino, but also to a relatively large hotel that will accommodate guests from the casino with 89 guest rooms and suites.

The cutting edge facility will have all the amenities needed for a weekend away at the casino, including a bar & gill, resort-style swimming pool and conference facilities with more still to come.

Lakecrest Casino & Hotel is located just 30 miles away from Chickashaw Nation’s nearest other site, with West Bay Casino opening last year on Lake Texoma.

Although there is very little information about the soft opening this week, a full grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony is expected to come in the not too distant future should everything go well.
