In terms of scoring criteria, it is two points for a stoppage win, one for a decision win and zero for a draw. If the ‘Team Captain’ wins, then it is double points.

Both Team Captain’s, Deontay Wilder for Matchroom and Hamzah Sheeraz for Queensberry,  won via knockout, earning four points for their respective teams. Daniel Dubois beat Filip Hrgovic via knockout earning two points for Queensberry, with Ray Ford and Craig Richards both earning one point each for Team Matchroom after winning via decision.

This means that in the end Matchroom won six points, as did Queensberry. Despite winning three of the five fights, the  5 vs 5 tournament ended in a draw as both teams scored a total of six points.

Commentary

Liam Solomon, Head of Sports PR at Instant Casinos, commented on the AI predictions saying:

“The inaugural Matchroom vs Queensberry 5 vs 5 tournament clearly lived up to expectations going by the final AI predictions for each of the fights.

“Although Eddie Hearn and Matchroom won three of the five fights, a draw is a fair result. Both of Frank Warren’s Queensberry fighters won via emphatic knockout to salvage the draw for the Hall of Fame promoter.

“This could be the start of something huge, with the potential for a Matchroom vs Queensberry 5 vs 5 tournament once a year. If the AI simulated results are anything to go by, we are in for a treat on Saturday night!”
