Erling Haaland, Marcus Rashford and Gabriel Martinelli will all feature in the highest-scoring FPL team for the 2024/25 Premier League season, according to an AI tool used by Instant Casinos.
Football fans are counting down the days to the new season and the return of the hugely popular game and the deadly trio are all tipped to feature in the FPL team of the season come May.
  • AI goes for a strong strike partnership of Erling Haaland and Alexander Isak
  • Eberechi Eze, Fabian Schar and Jarrod Bowen among the surprise inclusions
  • Arsenal players Ben White and Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli both named in the side
  • Newcastle are the most represented club with three players including Fabian Schar

AI FPL Team Of The Season

Formation: 3-5-2

Goalkeeper

Emiliano Martinez – Aston Villa (£5m)

The Argentinian shot-stopper has become a household name in the Premier League, being a key member in Aston Villa’s Champions League qualifying side last season.

Winning the World Cup in 2024, Martinez is now regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is a great option for Fantasy Premier League sides.

At £5 million, the 31-year-old is cheaper than David Raya, Ederson, Alisson and Ortega Moreno despite accumulating more points than the latter three.

The Aston Villa star made 34 starts last season, keeping eight clean sheets and accumulating 115 points throughout the course of the year.

Defenders

  • Ben White – Arsenal (£6.5m)
  • Fabian Schar – Newcastle (£5.5m)
  • Kieran Trippier – Newcastle (£6m)

Our AI software believes the FPL 24/25 team of the season will boast a back three instead of a traditional four at the back formation.

First off we have Arsenal’s Ben White, who was one of the best right backs in the Premier League last season – scoring 182 points in FPL.

Contributing to nine goals (4G+5A), the former Brighton defender added to the Gunners’ attack while also keeping 18 clean sheets.

Interestingly, Fabian Schar is the next defender in our AI software’s team and the Swiss international is of great value at £5.5m.

The Newcastle defender made 35 starts last season, keeping nine clean sheets and contributing to seven goals from central defence (4G+3A).

Achieving 123 points throughout the season, Schar reached the highest output from a Newcastle defender and was closely followed by the AI’s next pick, Kieran Trippier.

Despite having a difficult season, the former Atletico Madrid star still managed to contribute with 10 assists and gain 111 points overall.

Midfielders

  • Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace (£7m)
  • Gabriel Martinelli – Arsenal (£7m)
  • Jarrod Bowen – West Ham (£7.5m)
  • Marcus Rashford – Manchester United (£7m)
  • Luis Diaz – Liverpool (£7.5m)

The AI has made a bold prediction for the FPL TOTS, picking five midfielders and believes that none of the eight most expensive midfielders will gain the most points this season.

Starting off with Eberechi Eze, who has become a talisman for Crystal Palace and will need to do so again following the departure of Michael Olise.

The 26-year-old played a role in England’s Euro 2024 runners up campaign, earning a call up from Gareth Southgate from his performance in the 2023-24 campaign.

The Crystal Palace star contributed to 16 goals last season, scoring 11 and assisting five – accumulating 136 points in the process.

Next up is Arsenal winger, Gabriel Martinelli, who made 24 starts for the Gunners last season and earned 118 points.

The Brazilian lost his place to Leandro Trossard towards the end of last season but still managed to score six and contribute with five assists.

The AI has picked three Englishman in the starting eleven, choosing the previously mentioned Eze, while also selecting Jarrod Bowen and Marcus Rashford.

When looking at their 2023-24 performances, one massively outperformed the other, as Bowen contributed to 22 goals last season (16G+6A) compared to Rashford’s 10 (7G+3A).

It was a difficult year for the Manchester United star, which even led to an exclusion from England’s Euro 2024 squad.

Finally, the AI has selected Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, who will cost £7.5m in FPL this year – after contributing to 142 points last season.

The Colombian contributed to 15 goals last season, finding the net eight times and contributing with seven assists.

Forwards

  • Erling Haaland – Manchester City (£15m)
  • Alexander Isak – Newcastle (£7.5m)

It’s a powerhouse strike partnership for this AI FPL squad, as the software predicts Erling Haaland and Alexander Isak to have the best season out of all the striking options.

Last season, the Manchester City striker clinched his second golden boot in as many seasons – scoring 27 goals and also contributing with eight assists.

Contributing to 35 goals in 29 starts highlights the Norwegians quality and explains why he became the first player in FPL history to be priced at £15m.

In this AI generated side, Haaland will be partnered by Newcastle’s talisman, Alexander Isak, who also enjoyed a strong campaign last year.

The Swedish international scored 21 goals in 27 starts last season, accumulating 172 points which was only bettered by Ollie Watkins (228), Erling Haaland (217), Kai Havertz (180) and Dominic Solanke (175).

Many expected the former Real Sociedad striker to leave the Magpies this season, but Isak looks likely to stay and will be key for Eddie Howe’s men this year.

Substitutes:

  • GK: Matthew Turner – Nottingham Forest (£4m)
  • DEF: Ben Johnson – Ipswich (£4m)
  • MID: Amadou Onana – Aston Villa (£5m)
  • FWD: Joao Pedro – Brighton (£5.5m)
