WSOP To End At The Commerce Casino & Hotel In LA
Opening in Oklahoma, at the Choctaw Casino Resort, the infamous poker tournament will venture to 25 different locations before finishing in L.A.
The event will span from May 10th-24th and the Tournament of Champions will run from the 22nd, with the winner clinching $1 million.
Players will be invited from two categories, those who have won a WSOP gold ring and players with a WSOP bracelet victory – from either live or online circuits.
The senior vice president at World Series of Poker, Ty Stewart, has labeled the final destination in Los Angeles as the home of poker and is pleased to see the tournament ending at the iconic building.
He said: “For years, the Commerce has been the home of poker in Los Angeles and one of the leading card rooms in the world.
We look forward to kicking off our new strategic relationship with a special WSOP Circuit finale and the Tournament of Champions bracelet event.
We also look forward to qualifying more players from Los Angeles for the WSOP Main Event than ever before.”
As well as being a huge pull for the poker tournament, it is also a huge plus for the Commerce Casino & Hotel, as Spencer Villasenor, director of guest experience at the hotel/casino revealed in a recent presser.
Spencer Villaseñor, director of guest experience at The Commerce Casino & Hotel, added: “We are ecstatic to merge our strengths with the World Series of Poker.
This collaboration marks the convergence of two giants in the poker world and presents endless possibilities. Together, we are committed to pushing boundaries and setting new standards of excellence in the industry.”
