June’s extravaganza promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. The WPT Macau festival is set to be headlined by a HK$40,000 buy-in Championship event (June 20-24).

The WPT High Roller event is set to be one of the most popular tournaments of the festival. It currently has a buy-in of HK$200,000. This will be contested from June 19-20.

The Wynn Macau property will play host to the historic festival this summer. The world famous venue is a luxury hotel and casino resort which boasts over 1,000 rooms and suites.

More notably, the Wynn Macau offers 25,400 square metres (273,000 sq ft) of casino space. It really is the ideal destination for the WPT to extend its reach in Asia.

If the festival is a huge success – as many predict – it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Macau become a central poker hub over the next couple of decades.
