Roulette is one of the most popular casino games available, but what are the biggest roulette wins of all time?

Roulette: How Does It Work?

Roulette is a classic casino game, and includes a wheel, ball and a table which has the numbers and other options available to bet on.

Players can make their stakes on the table by selecting a number they believe the ball will land on after it has spun around the wheel.

You can also choose between red and black, evens and odds, 1 to 18, 19-36 and the three 12’s.

Next on the list is Joseph Jagger, who not only claimed one of the biggest amounts from a single spin, but did so as someone who did not come from wealth.

Jagger worked as a mechanic in a casino, and was able to spot some regular occurrences on the roulette table – learning that certain numbers appeared more often than others.

He noticed that 7, 8, 9, 17, 18, 19, 22, 28, and 29 were repeatedly found by the wheel and he spread out his wagers to beat the system without getting caught.

In seven days of gambling, Jagger was believed to have made around $2 million.

From 1960-1980, Richard Jarecki made a name for himself in the European gambling scene, after a number of big wins at the roulette table.

The medical professional realised there was an issue with the roulette wheels and they often landed on the same number – helping him tally up a streak of wins.

He had to move from casino to casino, as he was banned from several due to his regular wins and Jarecki claimed around $1 million.
