The Virginia Lottery has revealed that during the month of April, casino revenue within the state finished on $60.1 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n In April 2024, the trio of casinos issued $10.8m in taxes to the state of Virginia and revealed\u00a0 a revenue of $60.1m – a 7% decrease from the previous month.<\/p>\n The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Temporary Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth and Caesars Virginia are the three in question, acquiring a combined revenue that was 70% higher than April 2023.<\/p>\n Two tunnels of revenue made the final total, as slot revenue ended on $43.9m and table games added a further $16.2m.<\/p>\n When looking at each casino specifically, Rivers Casino Portsmouth made $26.4m in revenue and earned $18.4m through the 1446 slots and an added $8m from the 29 table games.<\/p>\n Additionally, Caesars Entertainment temporary casino in Danville contributed with $19.7m in gross gaming revenue and its 804 slot machines were responsible for $14.4m and $5.2m came from 33 table games.<\/p>\n When compared to March 2024, all three casinos recorded a lower revenue and Caesars Virginia is currently under major construction.<\/p>\n The work is set to finish in August this year and will cost $650m, as it adds a 500-room hotel, a casino gaming floor, 1,300 slot machines, 85 live table games, 24 electronic table games, a Caesars Sportsbook and a WSOP poker room.<\/p>\n A swimming pool, modern spa and gym\/fitness center will be available, as well as a 40,000 square feet meeting area which will boast a high-tech entertainment site for an estimated 2,500 guests.<\/p>\n A permanent casino, known as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will open during the summer of 2024 and will also have a 3,200 seat performance site.<\/p>\n The outdoor entertainment venue will have a capacity of 20,000, have 24\/7 availability and will open up job opportunities for 1,200-1,500 people.<\/p>\n In April 2024, Petersburg decided to use The Cordish Companies to construct the new casino – but will only be permitted during a vote in a referendum.<\/p>\nVirginia Lottery Reveals $60.1 Million In Casino Revenue During April<\/h2>\n
