Patrick Miller has been named as the president and CEO of the Rio Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. Miller will replace Trevor Scherrer who stepped down due to health concerns.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Patrick Miller is set to spearhead the $340Million renovation of the popular Sin City resort. Miller, as president, will play a vital role in overseeing the transformation.<\/p>\n Previously, Miller has held prominent positions at MGM Resorts International. He served as senior vice president and oversaw the hospitality divisions at MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur, Signature, and the Shadow Creek golf course.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Miller also served as the president and COO at Park MGM and NoMad Hotel. This is arguably his most important role where he spearheaded the $500m renovation of Monte Carlo to Park MGM.<\/p>\n Eric Birnbaum the Chairman of Dreamscape said: \u201cPatrick\u2019s extensive experience in the Las Vegas hospitality industry, including his many leadership roles at MGM Resorts, stands as a testament to his expertise.<\/p>\n “Patrick is the perfect person to lead the total revitalization of Rio Hotel & Casino and its dedicated team members into the next chapter of this iconic property\u2019s history,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The Rio Hotel and Casino is located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise. Dreamscape have been the owners of the Rio since 2019, when they paid Caesars $516m.<\/p>\n During the renovations, the Rio will stay open to the public. The multi-year project will update the entire resort and will keep the carnival theme.<\/p>\n Work began on the Ipanema Tower in 2023, which is projected to last 18 months overall. Then, the Masquerade Tower and restaurants will receive upgrades.<\/p>\n New state-of-the-art LED light displays will replace the original red and blue neon lighting. In terms of the casino itself, approximately 400 new slot machines will be added.<\/p>\nPatrick Miller<\/h2>\n
