After seeing growth in revenue through both November and December last year, Kentucky reported a drop in mobile sports betting revenue in February with the year starting off slow.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following a positive end t0 2023, Kentucky has announced a drop in sports betting revenue at the beginning of 2024 with statewide figures dropping from previous months.<\/p>\n

The year didn’t start all bad for the Bluegrass state though, as Kentucky reported $36.4 million sports betting revenue in January which was the second highest recorded since October’s record month last year ($54m).<\/p>\n

However February was a tough month for Kentucky sports betting, with online wagering dropping by a staggering 43% from January despite the Super Bowl being contested during the month.<\/p>\n

Mobile sports betting figures also took a major hit after January, with revenue falling by 19.3% to under the $200m mark for a first time in 2024.<\/p>\n

Retail sports betting was another area that saw a significant decline in February with a $1.2m drop from the previous month to a fairly disappointing $11m.<\/p>\n

Of the eight sportsbooks currently available in Kentucky it was DraftKings that enjoyed the most success in February, just edging past FanDuel with $8.3m compared to their rivals’ $7.7m.<\/p>\n

Kentucky also welcomed a new sportsbook to the state at the beginning of April, with Circa Sports opening to the public earlier this month.<\/p>\n
