{"id":17796,"date":"2024-03-26T14:03:43","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T14:03:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instantcasinos.com\/?p=17796"},"modified":"2024-03-27T11:12:34","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T11:12:34","slug":"illinois-lottery-sees-1-9billion-in-sales-during-first-part-of-fiscal-year-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instantcasinos.com\/blog\/2024\/03\/26\/illinois-lottery-sees-1-9billion-in-sales-during-first-part-of-fiscal-year-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Illinois Lottery Sees $1.9Billion In Sales During First Part Of Fiscal Year 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Illinois Lottery has reported that sales reached $1.9Billion in the first six months of the 2024 fiscal year, returning $456Million to the state.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Illinois Lottery Sales Reach $1.9Billion In 2024 So Far<\/h2>\n<p>Plenty of good has come from the Illinois Lottery sales with over $4.1m raised for good causes via its scratch ticket programme, generating revenue for causes including homelessness, breast cancer, police memorials and Illinois veterans.<\/p>\n<p>During the fiscal period, Illinois launched its first $50 Instant Ticket, generating over $500,000 for the Common School Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The largest prize won from that was a jackpot of $27.75m, becoming the largest lotto prize won in the state for over seven years.<\/p>\n<p>Director of the Illinois Lottery, Harold Mays was speaking on the sales: &#8220;<em>For 50 years, the Lottery has provided Illinois residents with fun and entertainment, a chance to win, and an opportunity to make a difference through the funding we generate \u2013 with K-12 education as the Lottery\u2019s primary benefactor during most of our time serving Illinois. The Lottery has contributed more than $24 billion in revenue to educational funding in Illinois.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;A $50 scratch ticket is not new to the lottery industry, but new to Illinois, and it\u2019s proven to be popular with players and retailers alike. Already, three Illinois players have won $1 million playing this game. There are three top prizes of $10 million still to be won, and we can\u2019t wait to meet those lucky players.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Allwyn Aid Lottery Sales<\/h2>\n<p>The Illinois Lottery is supported by Allwyn&#8217;s iLottery platform, website and app, helping grow online players and sales year-over-year. This platform has played a part in sales during the first half of the 2024 fiscal year go up by a third over the same period in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Keith Horton, Illinois General Manager and General
