Ahead of the Three Lions’ first March double-header we ran the fixture through the InstantCasinos.com SuperComputer program, which consists of 102 datapoints, and it is good news for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Never in the history of Brazil’s national team had they lost a World Cup qualifier on home soil, nor lost three games in a row.

The end of 2023 was one of Selecao’s most troubling periods, first going winless for the first time in history against Venezuela, before losing against Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina.

England Injuries: Grealish, Kane, Alexander-Arnold, Guehi, Trippier, Saka.

Brazil Injuries: Neymar, Marquinhos, Alisson, Ederson, Gabriel Martinelli, Casemiro.

Using predicted line-ups for Saturday’s match – which sees Brazil without both first-choice keepers, captain Casemiro and all-time top scorer Neymar – the SuperComputer predicts a win and a clean sheet for England.

The Three Lions return to Wembley for a double-header on home soil, and have won all five of their most recent fixtures in England.

The SuperComputer predicts a particularly special night for Ollie Watkins, who is likely to deputise in Harry Kane’s absence. The Aston Villa man is enjoying his most fruitful season yet, netting 22 goals and adding a helping hand in a further 10.

Having missed out on the 2022 World Cup squad, Watkins’ new-found importance as Kane’s understudy saw him reinstated in October of last year, netting England’s only goal in a victory over Australia.

An xG of 2.28 is predicted for England’s attack on Saturday.

The SuperComputer has predicted Watkins to score both of England’s goals in a 2-0 victory.

Of those five straight home victories mentioned previously, England have kept a clean sheet in all but one. Jordan Pickford will likely resume his position between the sticks, and will hope to continue his strong personal form this season.

As the SuperComputer suggests, Pickford will add to his nine domestic clean sheets by keeping out Brazil on Saturday.

The Everton shot-stopper will be safeguarded by a stout England defence and midfield, with the likes of Declan Rice, Kyle Walker and John Stones combining for a clean sheet total of 27 this season.

An xG of 0.41 is predicted for Brazil’s attack on Saturday.

For context, Brazil have scored just 3 goals in their previous 5, which includes a puzzling defeat to Uruguay, in which they generated an xG score of just 0.49
