It&#8217;s the second successive month of the new year that revenue has risen in the Diamond State.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In January 2024, $3.4m was reported in revenue and last month has seen an extra $500,000 posted. BetRivers &#8211; the main iGaming provider &#8211; have enjoyed a strong start to life in Delaware.<\/p>\n<p>BetRivers are owned by Rush Street Interactive &#8211; and they opened their doors to residents of Delaware in the first week of January this year. Prior to the switch, iGaming revenue barely got over $1.4m a month in 2023.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Are Rush Street Interactive?<\/h2>\n<p>Rush Street Interactive (RSI) are an online gaming and sports entertainment company whose markets are focused in the United States, Canada and Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>RSI currently owns three brands &#8211; BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse and RushBet. The First State has three <a href=\"\/\">online casinos<\/a> \u2013 Delaware Park, Bally\u2019s Dover Casino and Harrington Raceway &amp; Casino. They have all been reworked and had new games added.<\/p>\n<p>The best performer in 2023 came via Delaware Park\u2019s iGaming video bets. They brought in the most revenue of any operator or online casino, generating $1.45m in gross gaming revenue. For March 2024, it&#8217;s likely that figure will rise to approximately $2m.<\/p>\n<h2>Delaware <strong>iGaming Revenue: <\/strong>Sports Betting In Delaware<\/h2>\n<p>Delaware was actually the very first state in the U.S to legalize <a href=\"https:\/\/instantcasinos.com\/betting-sites\/\">sports betting<\/a> after the Supreme Court\u00a0overturned the\u00a0Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act\u00a0in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Sports Betting is available through the BetRivers app &#8211; as well as in person at one of the three retail gambling locations (Delaware Park, Bally\u2019s Dover Casino and Harrington Raceway &amp; Casino).<\/p>\n<p>For the first five years after sports betting was passed, the state had an exclusive contract with 888 Holdings (William Hill). This expired at the end of 2023 &#8211; hence Rush Street Interactive starting their partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Horse racing has also been a huge part of sports betting in Delaware.
